Nikki Pawlitschek, M.A., R.C.C.
Welcome to my page! I was born in South Korea but I grew up in British Columbia. I have experience working in the post-secondary field as I worked for Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, British Columbia for 5 years prior to joining Athabasca University in 2012. I have considerable experience working as a Career Counsellor, as well as, an on-line Counsellor.
I have an M.A. in Mental Health Counselling from City University, a B.A. degree in Liberal Arts from the University of British Columbia, a B.A. degree in Psychology from Open University, a certificate in Modern Languages (English, French, German), a Diploma in Brief Systemic Family Therapy, and a Certificate of Counselling Science. Most recently, I have completed a two-year training program in Hakomi Professional Skills.
In my spare time, I enjoy socializing with friends and sharing a good meal. I am a technology geek and an avid reader/watcher of the Sci-Fi/Fantasy genre. Last, but not least, I enjoy surfing the 'Net and chatting with family and friends via Facebook, Skype, or Zoom.
My passion is helping individuals find out what they truly want to do and to explore all the various options. I strongly believe that nothing is 'impossible' and that with the right planning and support, everyone can achieve their goals.
