Hello and welcome to my web page!
I was born in South Korea but raised and grew up in British Columbia. Although I have recently joined the Athabasca University team, I am familiar with the post-secondary environment as I worked for Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, British Columbia for 5 years in various departments. I have also been a Career Counsellor/Facilitator for the past 4 years and also have experience as an on-line Counsellor.
I have an M.A. in Mental Health Counselling from City University, a B.A. degree in Liberal Arts from the University of British Columbia, a B.A. degree in Psychology from Open University, a certificate in Modern Languages (English, French, German), a Diploma in Brief Systemic Family Therapy, and a Certificate of Counselling Science.
In my spare time, I enjoy socializing with friends and sharing a good meal. I am a technology geek and an avid reader of the Sci-Fi/Fantasy genre. Last but not least, I enjoy surfing the 'Net and chatting with family and friends via Facebook, Skype, or Yahoo! Messenger.
My passion is helping individuals find out what they truly want to do and to explore all the various options. I strongly believe that nothing is 'impossible' and that with the right planning and support, everyone can achieve their goals.
I look forward to working with you.
